Less grout: less scrubbing later! I used to have a gray and white bathroom floor, and with a teenage daughter with long hair, it drove us both nuts trying to keep it clean. And the wood looking tiles do look like wood, which will be great in a Tennessee country home.Mama Tennesseehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15508673946088141957noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6405346187589957794.post-21466302913482005722015-02-03T18:46:53.194-06:002015-02-03T18:46:53.194-06:00Thanks so much, Ashley. The cabinet doors also have soft-close hinges - just a nice detail and the top is granite. When the cabinet shipped, it shipped in one piece so all four legs were broken; however, I called Home Depot and they've already sent out a replacement and the legs just screw in. We ordered the 25" because we needed something very narrow but it comes in a few different sizes. I think I might actually order the larger size for our downstairs bathroom! I like the mosaic tile but it is difficult to keep clean. I would go with the white washed wood tile. It will look great against the color of cabinet you picked and the other features of the room. Not sure if I missed it but did you say where you purchased the cabinet from? We are thinking about redoing our half bath and this one would work perfect in our small space. It suits the period of your home and I'm certain that wood look tile is a trend that will pass. She also chose subway tiles and a hexagonal floor tile. http://thepioneerwoman.com/homeandgarden/2014/08/bathroom-throwdown/ You can see it in the link then you can get an idea of what you think. Personally, I think it is a little busy, compared to what they chose for the men's bathroom. However, there is something endearing about old fashioned hexagonal tiles! :-) I am sure whatever you chose it will be wonderful. The color helps disguise those lost hairs until they get swept up. We used a putty colored grout and sealed it. It does get dirty since we have a little land around the house but it wipes right up. I am going to white wash some brick in my home. Maybe that could be an option to white wash the brick? That could offset the nice white floors? Put a great rug down. Done and done! it will be gorgeous. Good luck. Put in what you love. While I enjoyed the look of it, I did not enjoy the maintenance and keeping it clean. You could see every hair and all the dust on that floor. It was only clean while I was wiping it up. I think. Also, I have tiled bathroom floors. I'm not bothered by the grout getting dirty - maybe it's just me but I choose a darker shade than the tile and it's not been a problem.
