I hope you are having a nice week so far!
I don't share a lot of our personal comings and goings on my blog, but every now and then I just can't resist, especially after our trip this past weekend to the pumpkin patch.
I don't know about you, but after I've been following a blog for some time I start to feel like I actually know the writer and I enjoy looking at little snapshots of their lives. Do you feel the same?
And while I love decorating for fall, that is by no means my favorite thing about the season. The days are so beautiful... I always forget until September arrives again... my household chores take a backseat because it's too nice to spend every minute indoors!
We (especially Jillian and I) have been anticipating the pumpkin patch trip for a while now. I really can't tell you how many times I've read the fall themed Berenstain Bears' books to Jillian the past month!
When we got off the wagon to venture out into the fields to pick our pumpkins, Jillian had picked up this beauty before we even knew it... I couldn't help but laugh when I turned around to give her picking instructions and found her holding the pumpkin up! "I found one, Mommy!"
And while taking a hay ride out into the patch may have been my favorite activity...
I think everyone else's was this huge slide. (Although I will say it was pretty fun... it's always nice to have an excuse to act like a kid again!)
It was a fun time and just one of the many things I have been looking forward to enjoying this fall. But really, even playing in the yard on a beautiful afternoon is something to soak in... my girls are growing up faster than I can blink. (smile)
What are you looking forward to this fall?
Che bellissima famiglia!!!!Complimenti.... Baci JERRY
ReplyDeleteYou seem to be making the most of your time with your girls. As my mom always told me, "These days go by so quickly so enjoy them!" And they do grow up so fast. I guess that's why I love seeing moms like you pouring yourself into your children's lives. It's the most important job you could ever do and the most rewarding!

Yes, I love the personal side thrown in now and then. Your children are precious and they will grow up so fast. Enjoy every minute you can. She sure picked a fine pumpkin. She must be strong that is as big as she is. I look forward to the cool crisp days and the smell of fallen leaves. Then when it gets cooler I love to go outside and smell people's fires burning in their fireplaces.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great time; your girls are beautiful! Love the braids; did you to them yourself?

The pumpkin patch is the BEST! Love all your boots together. I think your husband and mine have matching hats too. We've got a corn maze we can't wait to get out to soon. Enjoy your Fall!
ReplyDeleteI love to see and read about the personal lives of the person behind the blog. It makes it all real and I learn so much about so many different things.
ReplyDeleteYour day looks like so much fun. My boys are older but still love to go to the pumpkin patch. I hope that never changes. :)
Keep enjoy these beautiful days ~

A long time ago while I was sitting on a bench at the mall with my family and old lady walked past and said to us...'you're a millionaire family'....Now I'm passing her wisdom onto you...you are a millionaire family....hugs..

It's really nice to see a picture of you! I loved taking my kids to the pumpkin patch when they were younger--your photos bring back good memories. Thanks for sharing. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking us all along to the pumpkin patch. Your photography once again is stellar. You have a good eye, and now a kudos to your hubby, as he must have been the one to take the picture of you cuddling with your sweet girls. You all look so happy. I love fall too. My husband and I would always have an agenda with the kids. Pumpkin patch visit at Tom's with hayride and pumpkin search. Sycamore's fall parade with lunch at the local church. Kuipers Family Farm for their fresh made apple donuts, always so yummy. Lastly, Gould Cider and Apple Pressing. Happy Fall sweet little family.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing the pictures of your sweet family. It looks like y'all had such fun. I do love fall! I love pumpkin patches. I love long drives looking at the leaves. I especially love Gatlinburg this time of year.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you, friend.
You have a beautiful family and are creating memories that will last a lifetime. Enjoy the season!
ReplyDeleteYOU ARE SUCH A WONDERFUL FAMILY!

Such a lovely family...yes, I do feel like I know you. If you could hear me talk about your blog and how proud I am of this young couple and all they are doing...you'd think you were my daughter! lol. I am looking forward to going to our local corn maze/ pumpkin patch in a few weeks.
ReplyDeleteThe photos are wonderful! The best fun! Yes, indeed, I definitely need to gather up the kiddos and go to the pumpkin patch!:-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful family! I love the pumpkin photos. I'm hoping we get to buy a house this fall in enough time to be able to decorate for the season. :) ~ Jamie

Oh yes, I love seeing the personal side of bloggers, and that photo of your daughter picking up her pumpkin is precious! Looks like the entire family had a great time at the pumpkin patch. I'm enjoying this glorious weather, too, by spending as much time outside as I can.
ReplyDeleteFall is pretty much my favorite time of year. It's just too short lived! I'm looking forward to being in our "new" old house, and turning it into a home, with decorating (for fall!) at the top of the list.
ReplyDeleteBy regularly reading your blog, I have learned that you are a good mom and that your family is very important to you. The smiling faces show what a fun day it was at the pumpkin patch. These are special times that will be remembered forever.
ReplyDeleteCozy Home Scenes had to close but I am now at A COZY PLACE CALLED HOME. Hope to see you there!------- Shannon

What a fun fall day! I am so glad for fall weather to be here after such a long, hot, dry summer. Thanks for sharing your family adventure with us. Loved the pic of Jillian with her punkin! Your family is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend!
Susan
Cooler weather! Your photo of you and the girls is perfection.

I feel like I was at that pumpkin patch with you guys. :o) Wonderful, candid pictures. What I look forward to the most is the leaves turning...not happening here yet but soon I'm sure. Our days are getting much shorter. Thank you for sharing your family with us. I do feel like I am getting to know you much better!
ReplyDeleteI totally feel the same way about feeling like I get to know my blogger friends. I am often talking about them to my "real" friends...I love that about blogging. You have a beautiful family. Just precious. Beautiful photos!
