Every day we can the girls and I take a walk up the road where dogwood trees line the path beside an old cemetery. In the springtime we enjoyed their blossoms and then in the summer their lush leaves where we would take a little break in the shade. Now for the past couple weeks I've been enjoying their bright red berries and changing leaves as we move into fall.
After admiring the berries each time we would walk by, I just couldn't resist this week bringing home a branch or two. (After confirming with my husband that the berries were not poisonous of course..)
I love the colorful berries that nature produces this time of year.
Someday I'd love to have some dogwoods in our yard to enjoy but for now I'll just keep appreciating their beauty as we walk in the crisp, cool air down an old road...
Have a wonderful weekend.
The branches are beautiful in your gorgeously clean white kitchen!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, those are pretty! I never realized that Dogwood trees produced berries. Your kitchen looks so nice and bright :)
ReplyDeleteGood idea to take a walk when you can. :o) The berries are perfect. On my walk route there is a yard with 2 trees that are chuck full of red berries. I wonder if they are dogwoods...not sure it grows clear up here though. Enjoy your weekend Andrea! Do you know when you will hear from Country Living?
ReplyDeleteA little tipple of colour in your all white kitchen...lovely! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteI learn so much about photography from your photos--these are beautiful. And the berries are, too. Fall is my favorite season. We are finally getting some cooler temps and rain this weekend. I know I'll be craving sun in a few months (spring is my 2nd favorite season!), but I'm so ready for crisp days and red berries and leaves. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love the color you brought inside. Dogwoods are one of my favoritrs. We have some but we lost three in a storm this year. I was very upset.

The berries look so lovely in your white kitchen! And I just love your photos!!
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying the little fall changes here in Florida, too. My favorite thing is the change of lighting, and the trees that bloom orange and yellow this time of year. I can't remember their name!!
Hope your weekend is wonderful!
