Our sweet Jillian turned five on Saturday... it hardly seems possible that five years have gone by since I held her for the first time. I'll never forget that moment and the love and joy that instantly filled me. She is so sweet and funny and my little helper... I couldn't be more proud of her.
We had a fun little "Pinkalicious" party for her on Saturday and I couldn't help but share a few pictures from the day.
After lunch and cake, we all went out in the beautiful sunshine and played some games (including the adults)... old-fashioned games like three-legged and wheelbarrow races. We laughed and laughed... so much fun.
The girls with Grampie...
Even Huck joined in the festivities... I'm not responsible for putting the pink bandanna on him, but he was just too cute not to photograph (smile).
Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
She is beautiful! It looks like she had a happy day! :)
ReplyDeleteChildren grow up so quickly. Nice to see everyone enjoying Jillian while she is so young!
ReplyDeleteShe is just a gorgeous little girl. Five years old! That is one of my very favorite ages. You almost wish you could freeze frame them in time there because it is such a sweet, innocent age. She is so cute but so is Huck....she outshines him though-Happy Birthday to your sweet girl- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteGood times ! Glad she had such a great birthday ! hope your weekend was great !
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful Jillian looks on her birthday! Our two daughters wore braids when they were little too. I love for little girls to look like little girls! Our oldest granddaughter is five now too. As you said, where do those years go?!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh... these pictures are so sweet. I'll have to tell Dad he made it onto your blog! Ha Ha! It was the funnest day - three legged race with Jillian was my favorite part of the day. ~ Mom ~

ReplyDeleteIt looks like it was a great day! Jillian is so cute and perfectly Pinkalicious! Time does go by so quickly doesn't it?! I've been thinking about that a lot since my birthday is today...well no, yesterday, since it's a we bit after midnight now....it doesn't seem so long ago that I was little too :)
ReplyDeletehappy bday, jillian! pink memories are the best:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful family! All the pink touches made the celebration very pinkalicious indeed! You are doing a wonderful job creating sweet memories.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to sweet Jillian! She and Huck look adorable in their pink attire! I love the fact that her birthday was a family centered affair. I hate all the commercialization that sometimes surround kids' birthdays. It's as if the parents are trying to outdo each other with their elaborate parties.
ReplyDeleteOh Andrea your post is lovely. HOw sweet are the girls with their grampie who doesn't look a day over 40 and Huck! Omgosh I want to kiss him so, not grampie, huck. hee Hee.
