Fun, Family and Five

Our sweet Jillian turned five on Saturday... it hardly seems possible that five years have gone by since I held her for the first time.  I'll never forget that moment and the love and joy that instantly filled me.  She is so sweet and funny and my little helper... I couldn't be more proud of her.

We had a fun little "Pinkalicious" party for her on Saturday and I couldn't help but share a few pictures from the day.

After lunch and cake, we all went out in the beautiful sunshine and played some games (including the adults)... old-fashioned games like three-legged and wheelbarrow races.  We laughed and laughed... so much fun.

 The girls with Grampie...

Even Huck joined in the festivities... I'm not responsible for putting the pink bandanna on him, but he was just too cute not to photograph (smile).

Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

  3. She is just a gorgeous little girl. Five years old! That is one of my very favorite ages. You almost wish you could freeze frame them in time there because it is such a sweet, innocent age. She is so cute but so is Huck....she outshines him though-Happy Birthday to your sweet girl- xo Diana

  5. How beautiful Jillian looks on her birthday! Our two daughters wore braids when they were little too. I love for little girls to look like little girls! Our oldest granddaughter is five now too. As you said, where do those years go?!

  12. Happy birthday to sweet Jillian! She and Huck look adorable in their pink attire! I love the fact that her birthday was a family centered affair. I hate all the commercialization that sometimes surround kids' birthdays. It's as if the parents are trying to outdo each other with their elaborate parties.
