October (On the Porch)

 Happy October!

With the busyness of late, I have just now begun decorating for fall... and suddenly I'm taking in everything I love about this season.

Pumpkins, pumpkins and more pumpkins and even a visit to the pumpkin patch this weekend, a yearly activity that is becoming a tradition I look forward to every time October rolls around.

Fresh, crisp apples from the farmers market and spending more time outside as the weather is absolutely perfect.

Planning fall activities and time with family and friends for the upcoming holidays.

Decorating the porch and bringing in all the colors that reflect the beauty of the season.

A fall porch doesn't seem complete without mums.

Spending a Saturday morning getting reacquainted with my sewing machine by sewing new pillow covers for the swing on the porch.

Fall has truly arrived and I just want to soak in every glorious thing about the season with my family... so much to look forward to!

This coming week Creatively Made Home {Home for the Holidays} launches and I am so excited.  I can't wait to be inspired and connect with such inspiring women in this e-course as the holiday season draws closer.  (It's quite possible I may not be able to watch the videos of myself though... maybe I'll get up the nerve to share a blooper with you!)  I think the connection is almost more special than anything else... it's more personal than reading a magazine.  It's wonderful to not only be inspired, but to feel encouraged too.

Jeanne Oliver created a little video that talks a little about the course.  I always enjoy watching Jeanne's videos as she has a way of making you feel like you are sitting and visiting with an old friend.  I thought you might enjoy watching it too, especially if you are interested in the course.

To learn more about the course, visit here.

  • Each week you will have amazing truthful videos from the nine teachers.
  • There will be 30+ project videos.  These will be incredible videos that include everything from cooking, gift giving and decorating.
  • Tons of beautiful house photos from each of the nine women.
  • Supply lists and PDFs for each project.
  • A digital recipe book of the recipes shared in this course.
  • You will have access for one full year.
The course will launch October 15 and the price for the course is $58.

  1. I'm SO excited for the course I can hardly wait! And definitely you must share the bloopers! Your porch is gorgeous, visiting the pumpkin patch was so much fun and thank you for the morning of antique shopping yesterday. Love - Mom!

  2. Your porch is so pretty:) and I love that picture of the chicken! The Cinderella pumpkins are my favorite and they are coming out with such interesting colors. I found one that was pink this year! Your class sounds like lots of fun! xxleslie

  3. Your porch is beautiful and you have captured the Fall accents so nicely. I am so looking forward to the start of Creatively Made Home (Home for The Holidays.)

  4. Your porch is so beautiful with the wonderful touches of fall...from the pumpkins to the "guest" on the porch...It must be so nice to sit out there on a gorgeous Fall day!

  5. Your porch is a peaceful place. So tranquil and beautiful. Andrea you are truly blessed. How lucky are those to be invited to it and enjoy time with you and your family enjoying Autumn and all it's harvest and gifts.
    So pretty!
    Good luck with the classes.

  6. I love your home! I really want a chicken on my front porch...or back porch!

  7. Oh, how I would love to sit on your porch with a hot cup of cider. It looks so inviting, you added the perfect touches for fall. Love the pillows too!

  8. You have such a beautiful porch! We have the same chickens on our farm. So cute!

    1. Thank you so much! I love our chickens... our Barred Rocks are so friendly. :-)

  9. The porch is looking all ready for fall. I had a late start with the decorating too but I'm finally done and time is freeing up to take walks and have campfires. This last weekend I was able to go to the cabin in the woods for a day and it was heavenly. Don't you just love this time of the year.

  10. I love how you've decorated for the fall! I've been decorating myself. I even started doing a craft day with my sister-in law so that we can start making some of the pins we pin. We made little pumpkins out of sheet music. I always feel so inspired by fall! Have a wonderful week, Andrea! ~ Jamie

    1. That sounds like so much fun, Jamie! Love the idea of sheet music pumpkins. :-)

I always look forward to reading your comments... thank you for taking the time to leave one!
